Communication and website
eNewsletter: the process for production and sending out is completed and these are now being distributed.
Further email addresses to be gathered via school communication and class Reps.
PTA website: the website is still under-deployed because the process for updating the content is time consuming and high maintenance. Alternative strategy being considered to provide a website that is cost and time effective to maintain, and which does not depend on one individual’s availability. Julie Saunders and Carole Bond to present final proposal at next PTA meeting where a decision will be made on the future of the PTA website.
AOB
Self Assessment for teachers: the school has made a request for the PTA to purchase Flip media cameras to be used in classrooms as a vital self assessment tool. The purchase will work to continually improve the quality of teaching at our school. It is also believed that the cameras can also be used for Year 6 media workshops later in the year, thereby reducing costs incurred for these. Mrs Downs will send out a note to all parents explaining the purpose of the cameras and how they will be used including the necessary safe-guarding procedures. The funding for this will be a one off cost of and is £671.92 and has been provisionally approved.
