Welcome to the Bollin PTA!
The Bollin School Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is a core and active part of our school community. All parents and teachers are automatically members and our success in supporting our school depends on them; so please have a think about anything you could offer - time, contacts, knowledge, supplies, ideas or just support and enthusiasm - you don't have to commit long term! Don't forget to 'like' our Facebook page as we use this as an active virtual community for updates, news and requests.
Newsflash
AGM 2012
We really hope to see as many of you as possible at the 2012 AGM, which will be held on Wednesday 29th February, in the school hall. The AGM is really important to us to gauge feedback from and inform parents who may not be able to join us at meetings or events regularly. It is a very friendly, open evening, with all parents or carers welcome. It usually ends just after 9pm.
As always, we will provide food and drinks to all attending, and will also offer a child-minding facility if required for school age children. Please notify us in advance so we can cater for numbers - look out for a flyer in your child's book bag and contact the office to register.
Agenda
- PTA Chair Report, including future projects, spending and events
- Treasurers Report
- Communications Report
- Head Teacher's Report
- Election of new committee roles
- Discussion and vote on changes to the PTA constitution regarding how funds are allocated and approved
New PTA committee roles
As you know, all parents are automatically members of the PTA and most welcome to support, organise or contribute in any way they can. The committee exists to ensure the PTA operates within the constitution, is as co-ordinated as possible and capitalises on all opportunities to build our school community and raise funds for the school.
Our Treasurer and Secretary have come to the end of their two year term, so we are seeking volunteers who may wish to fill these roles, as well as someone to become Vice Chair. To spread the responsibility for PTA activity more widely, we have also decided to introduce some more roles on the committee. These are:
- PTA Funding Co-ordinator
- Class Representative Liaison
You can see more detail about these roles on the The Committee page of the website. Please don't hesitate to contact one of the committee for a no-obligation chat if you are considering any of these, or to put your name forward. We will vote the new committee roles into place at the AGM and would like to receive notes of interest in advance if possible.
The minutes from the 2011 AGM can be found on the Minutes page.
