The AGM
Thursday 25 February
6pm - 8.30pm
It would be great to see as many of you as possible at the AGM to share views, ideas and energy. As the school grows, we want our activities and initiatives to be as well supported as possible, so this is a great opportunity for everyone to have a voice and get involved. In this significant year, our 40 year anniversary and the beginning of a phase of school re-development, we are keen to build a great team of people to help us move forward. See
School Bulletin no. 12 for more details and a response slip. |

Committee Roles
Secretary: Kwai Yu comes to the end of his term in this position at the AGM so we are looking for someone to take this role on. Contact Vicky Potts for further details or to discuss further.
Communications: We need support in developing posters, flyers, newsletters, E-updates and other communications while Julie Saunders takes time out to have her baby. You needn't take on all of this together - even occasional or specific activity support would help. Contact Julie Saunders or Vicky Potts to discuss or for more information.
Treasurer: The Treasurer role is also up for re-election, as Helen Callery is stepping down.

Hopefully you've had a fun Christmas and are now rested and ready for the year ahead. It's an exciting year for the school as we move through its 40th Anniversary year, and we also hope to support the school's redevelopment plans as these progress
|
|
As you know, PTA-generated funds are crucial for providing and maintaining additional resources for the school. This is inevitably even more important as our school grows and enters a phase of re-development. We'll put more information on this on our new PTA website, but some priorities for this year are listed below.

Promises Auction
Friday 16th April
|
|
Our first major social and fundraising event of the year is the Promises Auction. For those of you who haven't attended such an occasion before, it's a really fun evening with the added satisfaction of knowing you are helping your school to raise money
How does it work? People bid for something that someone has offered to do, e.g. provide a dinner party for 6 people, wash a car, a week in a holiday home, do a week's ironing, babysitting, sports coaching, tennis lessons, organising a children's themed birthday party, etc.
|
|
You can get involved by:
Making a promise to do something (however small in value, everything is appreciated)
Making a bid for someone else's
promise
This could be a great income generator for the school as well as memorable social event, so it would be great if as many people as possible could involved. The event is likely to be held in a private room at the Stamford Arms in Bowdon and food and drink will be available. We will circulate confirmed details and promises forms shortly. Please, please, please start thinking now about what you could promise and put the date in your diary. Want more information now? Contact us on info@bollinpta.co.uk |

PTA website
gets make-over!
You will have seen a questionnaire asking for your input, and we are hoping this site will become the central forum for PTA communications and information.
A team of volunteers will work together to update and manage it so it is kept as current as possible, and it would be great to hear from anyone else could get involved. The site will be re-launched at the AGM so watch this space...
